Questions

Frequently asked questions

Can't find what you need? Get in touch and we'll point you in the right direction.

How do I book a consultation?

Book online through our consultation page, call +254710914579 or +254721256928, or message us on WhatsApp. Consultations take place at our Garden Estate office or remotely, depending on the matter.

Do you offer fixed legal fees?

Yes, for a range of defined services listed on our Fixed-fee Services page. For other matters we agree the scope with you and give a written estimate before work begins. Our guide to legal fees in Kenya explains how fees are made up.

Can you help my business apply for a VASP licence?

Yes. We advise on regulatory classification under the Virtual Asset Service Providers Act, 2025, prepare licence applications, and draft the governance, AML/CFT and consumer-protection documents the regulators expect. See our VASP licensing services.

What should I check before buying land or property in Kenya?

At a minimum, an official title search, verification of the seller's identity and authority, a check for encumbrances and land rates or rent arrears, and a budget covering stamp duty and registration costs. We carry out this due diligence before you sign or pay a deposit. Our guide to the costs of buying property is a good place to start.

Does contacting you on WhatsApp make you my advocate?

No. An advocate-client relationship begins only once we have confirmed our engagement with you in writing. Please do not send confidential documents until then.
